Maximum Burlesque Festival

Biennal

The Maximum Burlesque Festival, the first and only Burlesque Biennial in Italy, reaches its 2nd Edition. With the connection of the Teatro Ivelise and Celeste De Moriae Productions, a new era of the festival was born.

The international event, takes place over two days; saturday 22 and sunday 23 march 2025, starts from the historic Roman theater, a stone's throw from the Colosseum, to extend into the surrounding area, the oldest in the capital.

starts from the historic Roman theatre, a stone's throw from the Colosseum, to extend into the surrounding area, the oldest in the capital. The event, inspired by the mythology of the ancient Rome, opens their doors for the next festivals edition, where we invite performers from all over the world present their art in the magical and surreal atmosphere of the eternal city.

From the foundations of the Colosseum, myths and deities will return to awaken you with the embers of fire, and a festival of thousand stories of Burlesque! The programme is full of art and shows where we create a journey into the Roman mythology that will leave a trail of glitter. Magical events open up under the walls of the Colosseum, the arch Constantin, on hedges and meadows from Colle Oppio to the avenues of the Roman forums. The festival highlights the importance of inclusion, diversity, respect and peace.

The M.B.F. is produced by Teatro Ivelise, represented by Brenda Monticone Martini, and Celeste De Moriea Productions, represented by Celeste de Moriae, with the patronage of ACSI and Gay Center and the partnership with Loving MagiaEffPlumeLighteyeOcyclothes.

MBF Partners, as per tradition, are artists who collaborate in the creation of the festival winners' awards and participate in the art exhibition with their creations.

PARTNERS

Within the planning of the second edition, the legendary producer Celeste de Moriae joined Brenda Monticone Martini, a well known theater director, as a co-producer. Yes: Cres, Croatia, joins Rome, Italy in a pact of "sisterhood" when it was once the Mediterranean that united Forces (nations and cities), but now it's burlesque! With the unite we want to show the importance of supporting each other. Burlesque is from people for people. Our festival is a place to bring exactly these people from all over the world together and share their diversity of art and performance.

Applications closed on January 5th - thank you to all the applicants!
